Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of continental Europe and one of the most popular touristic places in Portugal. It’s very picturesque and a must-visit place, but more impressive spots are nearby.
My favorite is the Aroeira Wild Beach right after the lighthouse. The road is short and, at the same time, difficult. In some places, the slopes are quite steep and could be slippery. But the views are worth it, and there is a big chance you will be alone there. So you must be careful and comfortable (preferably hiking) shoes are necessary.
Getting to the more popular Ursa Beach is also possible. The road should be slightly easier, and likely, there will be more people. You can see both hiking trails on maps.me.
💡 This trip could be combined with visiting Sintra and 1 or 2 Palaces in one day.
